DHS Kiosks Marketing Toolkit

Georgia Public Library Service is proud to partner with the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide free self-service benefits kiosks to all of Georgia’s public libraries.

By placing a kiosk in each of your facilities, you are enabling convenient access for people to renew their social services benefits provided through DHS. With more than 2.5 times as many public libraries as DHS offices across Georgia–and with their longer hours of operation, many with weekend service–this partnership will provide easy access to benefits information in every community.

This marketing toolkit includes messages, materials, and graphics from both DHS and GPLS to help your library increase awareness of the benefits kiosks to your customers and community.

Users can access the Georgia Gateway portal to renew, change, and review their benefits including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS), Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids®, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Women, Infants & Children (WIC). Support for this program is provided through Food and Nutrition Service grant funds administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS).

The kiosks are self-service and will be most useful to clients who are renewing their benefits, checking their status, or filing routine changes. Library staff are not trained to answer questions about benefits eligibility or handle sensitive data. DHS clients requiring guidance should be directed to their nearest DHS office via the informational palm card located on the kiosk, at dfcs.ga.gov/locations, or by calling DHS customer service at (877) 423-4746.
