The Big Read, along with partners the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries, Columbus State University and the Muscogee County Friends of Libraries, wants you to join with our community to read and celebrate Tim O'Brien's masterpiece The Things They Carried this March.
The Big Read kicks off with The American Place Theatre's Literature to Life stage presentation of "The Things They Carried," by Tim O'Brien. Friday March 1, 7:00pm at the Columbus Public Library Auditorium.

100 authors will set up displays throughout the first floor of the main library on Telfair Street. It will coincide with the beginning of National Reading Month. Seventeen authors are scheduled to speak about their books and answer questions.
This event is free to attend.
From the website: "Writing a book is great, but obtaining readers is not so easy. This is a great opportunity to meet other authors, network, meet agents, publishers and learn how seasoned authors make a living."
