Fall Book Sale ~ Cumming Library

Forsyth County Public Library Friends & Advocates (FCPLFA) will host a used Book Sale in the public meeting room at the Cumming Library at 585 Dahlonega Road, Cumming, GA 30040.

The Book Sale is open to the public on Saturday, November 10, 10:00am - 5:00pm and on Sunday, November 11, 1:30pm - 4:30pm.

A special Members-only Preview Sale will be open to members of the FCPL Friends & Advocates on Friday, November 9, 2:00pm - 5:00pm. You may join at the door of the Members-only Preview Sale and begin enjoying early shopping privileges immediately.

The Book Sale includes great deals on hardcovers, paperbacks, children's and teen's books, CDs and DVDs. For more information, please visit www.ForsythFOL.org.

The local Friends of the Library group is gearing up for a book sale to benefit the Rose Creek Library. The event serves as a fundraiser, with money going to help the library purchase additional books.

Books, videos, DVDs, cassettes, books on tape range from $.10 to $3.00. Books (paperback and hardback) include children's, fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, biographies, political, travel, health, sports, religious, classics, poetry, coffee table, specialty and reference.

**Thursday, October 18th is a preview sale for Friends members only. Non-members may join at the door. Individual memberships are $15.00 for one year.

The Friends of the Peachtree City Library will hold their annual book sale on Saturday, September 15, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The sale will be held in the lower level of the Peachtree City Library. The sale is open to the public.

The sale is the Friends' principal fundraiser. Friends President Lani Clancy notes that all money collected goes directly to the library, since the Friends' administrative expenses are underwritten by a private grant. "Last year, we raised almost $8,000 from book sales. From that, we paid nearly $3,500 for the Children's Vacation Reading Program. We have already this year bought more than $3,000 worth of books for the library, and will buy another $4,000 worth before the year is over.

The Friends of the Mary Willis Library will hold the annual Willsbary’s Book, Bake, and Plant Sale on Friday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the front lawn of the library, located at 204 East Liberty Street. The book$ portion of the sale will continue on Saturday, May 5

The Friends of the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library will hold its first annual used book sale Friday and Saturday at the library, located at 204 5th St. S.E. in Moultrie.

The sale, planned to coincide with Downtown Spring Fling, will raise funds to support library programs, and purchase books and materials. Items for sale include pre-owned hardback and paperback books, movies and children's books priced from $.25 to $2.00. Library canvas book bags will also be for sale for $5.00.

The Saturday sale opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. From 2 p.m.-3 p.m. shoppers can fill a bag provided by the Friends with remaining items for $1 per bag. Items not sold will be donated to the prison and local nonprofits.
