Book Sale

The Friends of the Newton County Library System will be having their Spring Book Sale from April 20th - 24th, 2013. Come browse our large selection of gently used books, audiobooks, VHS, and children's and youth materials.

The book sale will be open at the Porter Memorial Library from April 21-24.

On Saturday, March 2, Bartow County Library patrons will have the opportunity to take home low-priced used books while supporting the library during the Friends of the Bartow County Library System's first quarterly used book sale of 2013, to be held at the Cartersville branch library.

The event will be open for organization members from 9 to 10 a.m., and to the general public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Books will range in price from 50 cents to a dollar and will include children's books, paperbacks and hardbacks.

Following the book sale will be the library's Third Annual Authors Festival from 2 to 4 p.m.

Featured authors include Bryan M. Powell, of Dallas, who will be signing copies of his new book, "Stranger in the White House."

Cobb County Libraries Semi-annual Book Sale

Dates & Times:

- March 8 & 9: 9am-5pm

- March 10: 1-5pm

Donated items include soft-cover and hard-back books, magazines, text books, DVD and VHS movies and children's books. Prices range from 10 cents to $5. Volunteers are needed. Information 770-528-2331.

Cherokee County Friends of the Library will host a book sale at the Woodstock Library/downtown, 7735 Main Street, Woodstock.

Gently used paperback ($.50) and hardback ($1.00) fiction and non-fiction books will be available for purchase along with DVDs, CDs, books on tape and cassettes ($.50). Children's books can be purchased for $.10 to $1.00. Coffee table and specialty books are priced from $3.00.

Your membership entitles you to volunteer at the Friends' book sales at each of the five Cherokee County libraries throughout the year, book sale previews, attend annual meeting in January of each year, and help promote the use of libraries and library services. Friends of the Cherokee County Libraries are a 501 (C) (3) organization and your annual membership fee is fully tax deductible - www.sequoyahregionallibrary.org.

• Friday, March 22nd - 10:00am - 5:00pm
• Saturday, March 23rd - 10:00am - 4:00pm

Proceeds from the book sale will be given to the library for the purchase of books and supplies. Donate your clean and gently used books to the Woodstock Library now (please, no encyclopedias).

• Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Sunday, Feb. 3 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

A preview party for members of the Friends of the Roswell Library has extended hours on Friday, Feb. 1 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. New members are welcome and may join the Friends of the Roswell Library at the door.

The Friends of Cherokee County Libraries is hosting a used book sale at R.T. Jones Memorial Library

Hours for the sale are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A preview sale for Friends of the Library members is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. The sale will be in the library's meeting room.

Friends of the Library of Cherokee County will be hosting their annual book sale at the R. T. Jones Memorial Library located at 116 Brown Industrial Parkway in Canton on the following dates:

• Preview sale for Friends members only - Thursday, January 24 – 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm;  Memberships are $15.00 and available at the door
• Friday, January 25 – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm – open to public
• Saturday, January 26 – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm – open to public

Fiction and non-fiction hardback ($1.00) and paperback books ($.50) will be available for sale along with specially priced books from $3.00 and up.  Videos, DVDs, books on tape, and cassettes are priced from $.50, with children’s books  and  videos priced from $.10 to $1.00.

Donations of clean used books (no encyclopedias) can be donated at R. T. Jones anytime before the sale.  Also, stop by or call R. T. Jones (770-479-3090) early in January to volunteer to help with the sale. Your help is greatly appreciated.
